Mount Olive Lutheran Church offers many opportunities for anyone interested in expanding their time and talents. 
We offer Spiritual Companions for members who are in the need of a companion to walk along side of them through the many challenges in life. Our Prayer Chain is a unique group of people whom pray daily for our congregation members.
The community we support is precious and we seek all ways to make a better place, and stronger with God's blessings. Channel One is a food shelter for all those in need. Food is essential and we offer our services by serving and collecting for Channel One. Habitat for Humanity opens opportunities for our talents to be used in many ways, especially the ability to help someone build their own home. Interfaith Hospitality Network opens our church for families who are starting a new beginning. The Prayer Shawl offers our time and talents to create a beautiful shawl and given to someone who needs to be wrapped in love and prayers.
We reach beyond the community to various parts of the world. Our goal is to strengthen not only our own society, but also others. We have a calling to make quilts, layettes and other necessities for Lutheran World Relief. The ability to answer such a calling is a blessing to our members. The Mitten tree is a wonderful way to collect scarves, hats and mittens for the winters in Minnesota. Tanzania has a special place in our hearts. The ability to work with such a beautiful country is truly an amazing blessings. Our sister congregation, Kijota gives us an opportunity to learn and grow not only in their culture, but also our own.
Check your talents and time; work in some of these opportunities and grow as an individual, family and congregation member.
