In our October healing service we reflected upon a year that, for many, may have been filled with personal pain and suffering. We worry about the world we live in and daily pray for world peace and wish that not one more life would be lost to war, starvation, tsunami’s, hurricanes or violence.
In October we came to the rail and brought our burdens to Christ and asked for healing for ourselves, our families, our friends, our neighbors, our world and we were assured that Christ will carry our burdens no matter how heavy the load. Jesus Christ our Savior will carry our burden and save us from our sinful world and God our loving father will comfort us with the gift of healing by the touch of a friend, the hug from a neighbor, the phone call from a Pastor, the meal from a Circle, an afternoon fishing with a buddy, or a walk in creation with God himself.
We are brothers and sisters in Christ and together we can help heal one another when the burdens of life are too heavy to carry alone and always, always, always, Jesus Christ is there to carry our yoke.
