The issue with the "Contact Mount Olive" and the feedback forms has been resolved.
Please let Don Halley or Paul Johnsen know if you have further problems with those tools.
This is a page for news about Mount Olive and the Church at large. The Mount Olive calendar is available here, plus you can see recent issues of the Mount Olive Messenger newsletter. Also here are links to articles about Faith and Church issues as well as blogs by thought provoking writers. The links here are not intended as an endorsement of a particular opinion or theology. The intent is merely to stimulate thought and discussion about your own faith and actions.
Every two years members of the ELCA from all over America gather for worship, discussion, and voting on new issues. This year all gathered in Orlando Florida from August 15-19. Over one thousand people - bishops, pastors and lots of lay people - gathered around the theme “Freed in Christ to Serve”. Here are some of the highlights:
Messenger Going Digital
Mount Olive is going green! Beginning with the October Messenger, members
with email in the church database will receive their monthly church newsletter
via the internet. If you currently receive the weekly email devotions, the church
office already has your email address. If you‟re not on that list, please send
your preferred email address to Pam Berg, pam@molive. Printed Messengers
will continue to be mailed to those members without email addresses. Extra
hard copies will still be available in the magazine rack outside the sanctuary.
Church Council Minutes
We don't publish the Executive Committee and Council minutes for the world to see,
but they are available upon request from the Council Secretary.
There is a link to an online request form in the
Church Council section of the Contacts page.
