The Congregational Choir
I serve as Mount Olive's Cantor, which means that I am responsible for organizing and leading the "singing" and other musical portions of worship. The primary musical group in worship is the congregation, and it is around their voice that all other music groups gather. The choirs often sing music that is more challenging, and requires rehearsal.

Mount Olive Choir
The Mount Olive Choir is for adults and high school aged young adults. This choir meets weekly on Wednesday nights, usually beginning at 7:30 PM. All are invited to sing - and enjoy this fun and dynamic group! (Meets Sept. - May...check out the schedule.)

Bell Choir
"Glory Bells" is our hand bell choir for adults. This group meets every Thurs. night at 7:30. The bells play about once a month. The only prerequisite for this ensemble is that you have basic music reading skills. Hand bells are a unique and beautiful instrument that almost anyone can pick up and play. (Meets Sept. - May)

Children's Music
Finally, children are a very important part of worship and music at Mount Olive. The children's choirs meet seasonally, and usually prepare music for special festivals, like Christmas and Easter. Please contact me if you want to learn more.

In worship we bring our "first-fruits" before God, our creator. Through the grace of God we have been given the talents and joys make beautiful music as a people. It is only fitting that we return to God in our worship, and offer our thanks and praise through song. And because music is a gift from God, when it is done well, it can offer a "teasing taste of what we miss" - a glimpse of heaven's beauty.

I am always excited to meet new people, and learn what gifts of music you may have to offer at Mount Olive. Whether you are a member or new to the community searching for a church community to be a part of, please don't hesitate to contact me and introduce yourself. I am happy to answer any questions you may have concerning worship and music at Mount Olive.
