Confirmation begins in 6th grade and goes through 9th grade, with the students being confirmed the fall of their 10th grade year. Wednesday night classes include a variety of topics such as The Ten Commandments, The Lord's Prayer, Sin and Evil, and Problem Solving in a World Gone Mad. Sunday Morning Classes for Middle School is an intentional walk through the Bible in three years. The students also have worship service requirements and service work commitments.
Requirements for Confirmation: Each year, students are required to attend 2 out of 3 quarters of Wednesday Evening classes, 20 Sunday School or Youth Forum Sessions, do Sermon Notes (10 for 6th graders, 27 for 7th-9th graders), do 7 hours of service within the community and 7 hours of service within the church, do 3 Sermon Notes for Midweek Lenten Services, and attend a fall retreat (6th-8th grade). In the fall of their 10th grade year, confirmands write and present their faith statements to the Full Church Council.
